Senior Mechanical Engineer
STI Engineering Srl, an international engineering company with a presence in 8 different countries and over thirty years of experience providing multidisciplinary design and consultancy services in the Civil, Industrial, Energy&Chemicals, and Marine sectors, is currently looking for an autonomous Mechanical HVAC Designer with proven experience in the design and sizing of:
- HVAC systems, distribution systems, and instrumentation apparatus
- Distribution networks for medical gases, fuels, oxidizers, and inert gases
- Fluidic networks
- Fire protection & process piping systems
- Water networks
Requirements:
- A degree in mechanical engineering with at least 3-5 years of experience in design, demonstrating autonomy. Experience in designing ventilation, air conditioning, and heating systems with thermal capacities exceeding 500 kW and airflows of at least 50,000 m3/h in industrial and tertiary settings.
- Proficiency in the English language, especially in technical aspects.
- Proficiency in AUTOCAD 2D and Revit, excellent knowledge of HVAC system calculation and sizing software (particularly Carrier), familiarity with development software (MC4, MEP, CADWORKS), computation software (Mosaico or equivalent), and HVAC system sizing and energy analysis (Termolog, ASHRAE standards, SMACNA, Edilclima, or equivalent).
Expected Activities:
- Sizing of machines, distribution systems (especially air ducts), and instrumentation apparatus for HVAC systems
- Coordinating a design team of 2-3 people
- Interacting with the electrical and electro-instrumental design teams
